Election Day
On Election Day, you must vote at your designated polling place. You can find your assigned polling location on your voter registration card, by logging into the Secretary of State’s My Voter Page, or by contacting your County Board of Registrar's Office.
Polling places are open on Election Day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you are in line by 7:00 p.m., you are allowed to cast your ballot.
Election Day Rides to the Polls

We will be helping with transportation to nearby polling places for Election Day. Check back with us for the times and to sign up.
Last Day of Early Voting
Any eligible registered voter desiring to vote in advance during this period may do so in-person at any of the early voting locations. (You do not have to vote in your assigned precinct for early voting.)
No reason is required for early voting.
Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot
Any eligible registered Chatham County voter who wishes to vote by absentee ballot may do so. No reason is required.
You must fill out and submit an official absentee ballot request form in order to be sent an absentee ballot.
Early Voting starts
Early in-person voting begins 21 days prior to the General Election.

Last Day to Register to Vote
Voter registrations must be received by October 7. Make a plan to get yours in well ahead of this date.

Have you registered recently? Still need to register? Vote with SSU has you covered. Come to King Frazier on Wednesday, Sept 25 from 5pm to 7pm to check your registration and make sure everything looks good. Remember, the registration deadline is October 7, so you still have time to make changes!
Get Out the Vote: Researching Your Ballot

The weekly Gordon Library workshop will be led by librarian Jennifer West and will talk about how you can find out about the candidates and issues on the ballot. We will talk about how to evaluate the source of information about candidates and where you can find non-partisan information. Bring your questions for the Q&A part of the workshop! National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday dedicated to celebrating our democracy. Since its kickoff in 2012, the holiday and its team of thousands of Partners have worked to get over 5 million Americans registered to vote in time for their next trip to the ballot box.
Celebrated each September, National Voter Registration Day involves dedicated Partners of every stripe from all over the country hitting the streets for a single star-spangled awesome day of coordinated field, digital, and media action focused squarely on growing our shared democracy.
Do-Nut Stress About Voting on Friday the 13th!

It’s Friday the 13th, but nobody needs to stress! Come get a donut and start the day right by making sure you’re registered to vote, know when to vote, and know where to vote. Make a button, ask us questions, or rehash the debate. We’ll be here to help!
Presidential Debate Watch Party

Join Alpha Iota Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and the Greater Gamma Zeta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and the Vote with Savannah team for the only scheduled debate between candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Vote with SSU will have volunteers available from 7-9pm to help you with your voting plan and make sure you’re registered to vote. The debate starts at 9pm. Concessions will be available.

Chalk It Up! & Vote with SSU
Join us at our first Plan Your Vote event! We will have sidewalk chalk so you can share your thoughts on voting, button making, and the main attraction, volunteers to help you make sure you’re registered and help you get registered to vote! We can answer questions about the voting process and how to make your plan to vote, too. Email ssuvotes@gmail.com to set up an appointment or drop in between 2pm and 5pm in Asa H. Gordon Library’s lobby.
Volunteer Training
